Human Resources Manager Job Vacancy in Kenya

A leading five star hotel in Nairobi is seeking for applications from qualified persons for the above vacant post. The incumbent will assist the MD and HODs in driving key HR processes for the business while performing generalist HR functions.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the administration and implementation of HR strategies focusing on achievement of the required results.
  • Assist in the interpretation and implementation of the company HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of organizational change processes needed to achieve organizational goals.
  • Assist in manpower planning and coordinate staff recruitment process within the company with a focus on diversity.
  • Co-ordinate staff performance including induction, probation and the annual performance evaluation.

  • Support staff training and development activities including planning and delivering within the company.
  • Administration and supervision of payroll and benefits. Provide information on payroll action as per set guidelines.
  • Fostering a workplace environment consistent with the organization’s values, mission and vision.
  • Assist to ensure company’s compliance with all national legal and statutory requirements for the management of its HR resources.
  • Maintain staff records
  • Handle staff welfare and disciplinary issues
  • Prepare required HR reports
Minimum Requirements for the Job
  • Degree/Advanced Diploma with a HR Management specialisation and Continuous Personal Development certifications;
  • HRM Professional body membership;
  • A broad HR experience ideally within 5 star hotels with a good knowledge of national labour laws;
  • a self starter with great interpersonal, leadership and administration/clerical/secretarial skills, and also business acumen.
  • Proven track record of:- setting up and formulation of Job Descriptions, recruitment strategies and planning, implementation and set up of employment contracts, planning for staff training, induction training implementation, work performance management, conducting of disciplinary hearings and labour disputes, assistance with conciliations & arbitration on staff disputes, facilitation and establishment of departmental staff work performance appraisals, implementation of HR Policies and Procedures.
