Duty Station: A high rise building along Samora Avenue, Dar es Salam
Deadline for application: 31st July, 2010
Assignment: A competent, qualified registered Engineer (Structural) is required to oversee construction of a 19 storey building within the Central Business District Dar es Salaam
Academic qualifications and experience:
Ideal candidate for this position should have multi-disciplinary qualifications induding:
- A qualified Engineer (Civil/Structural) or equivalent from recognized higher learning institutions.
- A minimum of 5 years experience in similar work.
- Sound Knowledge in building construction operation.
- Knowledge and competency in the information and communication technology.
- Knowledge of International language especially Chinese in addition to English and Kiswahili will be an added advantage
Personal Attributes:
- Very high level integrity, honest, prudent, and sense of responsibility.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and produce results.
- Ability to read, interpret drawing also to observe, monitor and report construction activities timely to the Lead consultant for fast implementation etc.
- Possess good communication skills.
