The Bureau for Institutional Reform and Democracy (BiRD) is looking for one excellent senior expert for Design Study for a short-term mission in Kenya.
Lot 7: Design Study to Support the Aid Effectiveness Secretariat in Kenya Ministry of Finance (Treasury), Kenya
Starting period: 15/08/2010 Duration: 25 w/d Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Global objective: The overall objective of this assignment is to promote aid effectiveness in Kenya.
Specific objective: To make recommendations to the AEG pertaining to the establishment of, and donors support to the AES.
Expert for Design Study to Support the Aid Effectiveness Secretariat (Senior)
Required profile:
- Hold a Masters degree in a development related field, and have more than 10 years of relevant experience.
- Be conversant with the Paris Declaration and the Accra Agenda for Action, and how the donor community implements these agenda.
- Previous working experience with partner government ministries in charge of aid management is a comparative advantage.
- Demonstrate a significant experience with the design of institutional development projects.
- Good knowledge of the Kenyan context is an advantage
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- The expert must be fluent in written and oral English.
