AIC Kijabe Hospital Executive Director Job Vacancy in Kenya

AIC Kijabe Hospital is a church based hospital established in 1915. Having a bed capacity of 265 beds, we seek to provide excellent compassionate health care, education and spiritual ministry in the name of Jesus Christ summed up with the motto “Health Care to God’s glory!”
Located 65km from Nairobi, we serve a varied range of clientele from all over Kenya and neighbouring countries setting ourselves as a regional beacon of hope.
Responsible to Board of Governors, the Executive Director will be expected to undertake the following duties but not limited to:
  • Serve as the Chief Executive Officer of the Hospital, responsible for overall organization, management and administration of the Hospital on day to day basis
  • Develop the long range plans and budget for the Hospital within the existing Strategic Plan
  • Lead, coach and mentor Senior Management Team
  • Ensure provision of quality health services in Outpatient, Inpatient, & Clinical Support Services and Satellite sites
  • Maintain the foundational mission of AIC Kijabe Hospital and enhance its fulfilment through the Spiritual Ministry of the hospital
  • Ensure that the hospital is sound financially and that various financial reports are finalized and published within stipulated time
  • Ensure optimum utilization of the hospital’s human and material resources in order to meet the set objectives and statutory regulations
Required Qualifications and Work Experience:

  • Masters level academic qualification (MBA Preferred)
  • Additional Academic qualification in Healthcare management will be an added advantage
  • At least five (5) years experience in senior management position preferably in a health care institution
  • A committed Christian who is willing to adhere to the AIC Doctrine and statement of faith

  • Good interpersonal skills with experience and passion in mentoring/coaching
  • Self driven with demonstration of initiative
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
Terms and Conditions of Service:
  • Three years contract, renewable upon satisfactory service, with very attractive remuneration and end of contract package
