A: Project Manager/Site Agent

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Director, the right candidate will be responsible for the following functions:-
  • Day to day operations and overall administration of more than one project to ensure that the overall management and administration of the various construction sites;
  • Overseeing progress of work at all the sites and giving relevant updates to the Board of Directors;
  • Mobilizing site resources in line with program of works provided by the Project co-coordinator;
  • Establishing proper internal monitoring, control systems and procedures to improve on efficiency and productivity;
  • Liaising with Head Office to ensure company policies, procedures and systems are followed to uniformity throughout the organization;
  • Coordinating with government officials in monitoring the progress of work in various projects;
Required Qualifications and Competencies
  • In possession of a degree in civil engineering and a diploma in Project/Construction Management from recognized institutions;
  • A Master’s degree will be an added advantage;
  • Registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) Kenya/Tanzania/Uganda or equivalent bodies of other countries.
  • At least 12(twelve) years relevant experience in construction of roads and bridges of which 8 years should be in a senior management position;
  • Self driven and possess excellent interpersonal communication and sound management skills while demonstrating a passion for performance and achievement in a competitive environment;
  • Computer literate with experience in any construction software and ERP systems will be an added advantage;
  • Willing to travel and work outside Nairobi and within our East Africa Region at our various construction sites;
B: Quantity Surveyor

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following functions:-
  • Reading and analyzing contract documents and specifications in order to draw bills of quantities;
  • Evaluation of quotations prior to tenders/orders;
  • Check all measurements for interim payments and compute final quantities;
  • Preparation of Contractual documents, Sub- Contract Agreements/Documents;
  • Preparation of the monthly certificates based on contract conditions and specifications;
  • Coordinate ongoing daily or weekly take off site measurements of various projects from the contract bill of quantities;
  • Preparation of technical data for the various Projects;
  • Preparation of variation order and evaluating claims;
  • Cost update on on-going projects;
  • Preparation of monthly requirements of road projects;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
  • In possession of a degree in engineering in Building Economics/ Civil Engineering and Construction/Project Management;
  • Registration with a recognized body;
  • At least 7(Seven) years relevant experience in roads and bridges;
  • Self driven and possess excellent analytical skills;
  • Highly organized with sound management skills;
  • Computer literate with experience in any construction software and ERP systems will be an added advantage;
  • Willing be stationed on Project sites/ Head Office and willing to travel outside Nairobi and within East Africa Region at our various sites;
C: Site Engineer- Structures and Bridges

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following functions:-
  • Civil Engineering projects related to roads works and bridges;
  • Assist in the administration of the various construction sites within Kenya and East Africa;
  • Preparation of progress and programme of works reports at the sites and giving relevant updates to the project manager;
  • Estimation of quantities and costs for the planning, design and construction of civil works;
  • Analysis of construction materials and investigate Engineering problems;
  • Compilation and analysis of reports and making recommendations on how to solve existing problems;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • In possession of a degree in civil engineering with a distinction;
  • At least 7(seven) years relevant experience;
  • Registered with the Engineers Registration Board (ERB) Kenya/Tanzania/Uganda or equivalent bodies of other countries.
  • Computer literate with experience in construction software and ERP systems will be an added advantage;
  • High performer, conversant with the trends in the construction industry;
  • Highly organized and efficient and possess accounting skills to have an added advantage;
  • Willing to travel and work outside Nairobi and within East Africa Region at our various construction sites;
D: Junior Engineer

Reporting to the Senior Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for the following functions:-
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting the Senior Civil Engineer in coordinating of Civil Engineering projects related to roads works and bridges;
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and ensuring effective cost control of projects in the various construction sites within Kenya and East Africa;
  • Preparation of progress and programme of works reports at the sites and giving relevant updates to the project manager;
  • Assist in estimation of quantities and costs for the planning, design and construction of civil works;
  • Assist in Compiling and analyzing of reports and making recommendations on how to solve existing problems;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
  • In possession of a degree in civil engineering
  • At least 2(two) years relevant experience;
  • Member of a relevant professional body will be an advantage;
  • High proficiency in use of Microsoft office and possess knowledge of a computerized project management system;
  • High performer, highly organized and willing to learn in a versatile environment;
  • Willing to travel and work outside Nairobi and within East Africa Region at our various construction sites;
E: Materials Manager

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the following functions:-
  • Directing and administering logistics in relation to planning, procurement, storage, controls and distribution;
  • Ensuring optimum maintenance of Inventory controls in the Workshop especially in management of requisitions and procurement of spares;
  • Ensure adequate Insurance cover for materials in transit, storage and lodging of claims for loss of materials and facilitating recovery thereof;
  • Proven ability of working with suppliers on price and delivery negotiation and ensure timely delivery of materials;
  • Develop indigenous sources of supply for imported materials abroad;
  • To administer and control the flow of materials and management of requisitions from various sites;
  • Carry out systematic, formal and continuous research on the various market trends;
  • Play a major role in cost reduction and quality improvement within the Company;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:
  • A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with experience in procurement and logistics preferably in the Construction Industry;
  • Post graduate qualifications in Material management with over 10 years experience will be considered;
  • Must be a member from a recognized professional board;
  • Experience in earth moving equipment spares or commercial vehicles will be an added advantage;
  • Analytical and a logical thinker with a positive response to pressure in order to generate effective solutions geared to time-sensitive deadlines;
  • Computer literate and conversant with the ERP systems will be an added advantage;
F: Workshop Manager

Reporting to the Group Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for the following functions:-
Key Responsibilities:-
  • Plan, organize and control the entire workshop sectional operations;
  • Monitor job quality through quality control inspection and report feedback complaints;
  • Coordinate motor insurance renewals and claims with the relevant department;
  • Monitor productivity of the workshop;
  • Ensure the realization of the workshop targets through the set procedures;
  • Ensure the implementation of the Safety standards;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • Minimum of a Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineer degree with a minimum 10 years experience or Higher Diploma with 15 years of experience in Plant and Equipment in a Construction Industry;
  • Hands on experience in maintenance and repair of Plant and Equipment
  • Member of a relevant body will be an added advantage;
  • Minimum of six(6) years experience;
  • Ability to work independently with a drive to achieve results;
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills;

G: Plant Manager

Reporting to the Group Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the following functions:-
Key Responsibilities:-
  • Overseeing repair and maintenance of earth moving equipments and construction materials;
  • Direct supervision of maintenance of hydraulics systems, transmission systems and engine assembly of heavy earth moving equipment;
  • Setting up budgets and developing preventive maintenance standards as well as on- time repairs and deliveries;
  • Liaising closely with the materials and procurement department for timely procurement and supply of spares and other equipments;
  • Formulating and implementing maintenance schedules for machinery and vehicles to ensure smooth running of the Company fleet;
  • Compiling reports and advising the management on the current status on Plant equipments;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Degree or Higher Diploma in a recognized institution.
  • At least (7) years hands on experience in maintenance and repairs of Plant and Equipment in a Construction Industry
  • Conversant with excellent diagnostic, analytical skills other relevant computerized systems;

H: Mechanics
Specializing in the following fields:-
Senior Plant Mechanics

Reporting to the Plant Manager of the Workshop, the successful candidate will be responsible for:-
  • Supervising maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and vehicles.
  • Performing preventive and predictive maintenance and ensuring schedules are strictly adhered to;
  • Using specialized tools for efficiency and correct repair procedures
  • Analyze all mechanical reports from respective sites and attend to them in liaison with the Plant Manager;
  • Advice the procurement department on all technical matters e.g Spare parts
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • Certificate in Plant Mechanic with over 20 years experience in handling Plant machinery;
  • Diploma in Plant Mechanics with over 15 years experience will be considered.
Plant Mechanics (Hydraulics)

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:-
  • Maintaining all hydraulics systems of all Plant equipment and vehicles;
  • Advice and provide update reports to the Group Workshop Manager on hydraulics matters;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • Certificate in Plant Mechanics( Hydraulics) option
  • 10 yrs experience in maintaining plant hydraulics systems
  • Diploma holders with 7 years experience will be considered.
Plant Electrician
3 Positions
Ref: MECH- PE (3)
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Supervising the electrical department within the Company;
  • Carrying out maintenance of all electrical appliances in the Company;
  • Analyze all electrical reports from respective sites and attend to them in liaison with the Plant Manager and Group Workshop Manager
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • Diploma in Plant Mechanics(Electrical) option
  • 15 yrs experience in maintaining electrical appliances in Plant Machinery;
  • Certificate holders with 7 years experience will be considered.
Plumber
2 Positions
Ref: MECH- PLU (2)
Reporting to the Workshop clerk of works, you will be responsible for:
  • Carrying out maintenance and repairs on all water and sewerage systems within the Company
  • Ensure that all the water reservoirs are full and maintained.
  • Supervising the electrical department within the Company;
Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
  • Holder of high school certificate and certificate in civil (plumbing option) from a recognized institution.
  • Over 5 years experience
