UAP Insurance Jobs in Kenya: Claims Manager and Underwriting Assistants – Medical

We are looking for qualified individuals to fill the following positions based in Head Office, Nairobi.
Claims Manager
The overall responsibility will be to lead and manage the activities in intimated losses settlement, adequate reserving, efficient processes and customer satisfaction for General Insurance Claims in Kenya.
Key tasks will include ensuring that the claims process is efficient by conforming to set service standards and providing leadership to the claims team. This includes prompt claims settlement, analyzing claims data, ensuring reserves are adequate and regularly reviewed, initiating recoveries and following to conclusion, ensuring that claims fall within scope of respective insurance policy, preparing reports and statistics for management use and managing an effective service providers’ panel.
Candidates must have a degree in the relevant field preferably in Business or Law with ACII qualifications, strong leadership, analytical skills, demonstrated breakthrough thinking and over ten(10) years working experience in technical general insurance, three(3) of which should have been at management level in Claims.


Underwriting Assistants – Medical


The overall responsibility is processing of new and existing business, monitoring performance and preparation of cover documentation, all within the set standards of service.
Key tasks will include servicing new business, which includes preparation and dispatch of accurate policy documents, renewing and endorsing policies on instruction from clients, attending to queries on correspondence, and preparing and dispatching accurate renewal invitation letters. Tasks will also include preparing utilization reports for all clients assigned and ensuring that premium is paid for all clients.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in relevant field and candidates must demonstrate strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
