Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Mid Term Review (MTR) for the Mt. Kenya East Pilot Project for Natural Resources Management

Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has been implementing the Mt. Kenya East Pilot Project for Natural Resources Management, under the financing of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), Global Environmental Facility (GEF) and the Government of Kenya.

The GEF-financed activities are being implemented in
(a) the protected areas; Mount Kenya National Park and National Forest Reserve and
(b) 10 km distance adjacent to the forest reserve i.e in Nyeri North, Mathira East, Kirinyaga Central, Embu, Meru South, Maara, Imenti South, Meru Central, Imenti North and Buuri District.
Kenya Wildlife Service being the National Executing Agency of the Project wishes to conduct a Mid Term Review (MTR) for the Mt. Kenya East Pilot Project for Natural Resources Management
KWS therefore invites interested, eligible consultants who can demonstrate sufficient technical expertise, management capability, workload capacity, and financial resources to perform the service.
Request for proposal guidelines ean be obtained from Procurement office at KWS HQs Langata Road, Ndovu Court during normal working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.


A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 13th May 2010 at the time and venue specified in the Invitation to Tender.
Proposals clearly marked Tender No. ‘KWS/MKEPP/RfP/12 2/2009-2 010′ and the description of the service should be addresses to:
The Director, Kenya Wildlife Service, P.O. Box 40241, Nairobi,
and deposited in the tender box at the entrance of Simba Court at KWS HQs not later than 12.00 noon on 26th May 2010.
Proposals will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of bidder or their representatives who choose to attend.
