The Kenya National Trading Corporation Limited is a State Corporation whose mandate is promoting wholesale, retail and e-trade business, promotion and development of SME’s and stabilizing supply of commodities among others.
The Corporation has found it necessary to engage the services of an ICT consultant to carry out a core Business Requirements Analysis, with a view of automating its operations.
Terms of reference for the consultant
1. To carry out an ICT gap analysis on the Corporation’s automation requirements.
2. Conduct an assessment for requirements of an ERP for the Corporation’s Head Office and its depots.
3. Prepare a feasible implementation plan, taking into account the level of readiness of the Corporation including detailed cost estimates.
4. Based on the assessment results, recommend possible solutions on the way forward for the Corporation in form of an ICT Strategy.
5. In line with (ii) above to Draw an Automation Manual/ Policy for the Corporation that supports achievement of its mandate.
6. Recommend ERP systems that will be used to centralize information and enhance efficiency and speed access to information both by internal and external stakeholders. The ERP system should take into account the following functions:- Finance and Accounting, Procurement, Customer Relationship Management, Workflow Management, Help desk Management, Human Resource & Payroll Management, Sales Management and Intranet/ Internet functionality among others the consultant may deem necessary.

Completed tender documents to be obtained upon payment of non-refundable fee of KShs.3,000.00 (Three Thousand Kenya Shillings Only) at the cash office per set of document from Procurement Office, on the 2nd Floor, Nanyuki Road off Yarrow Road (Uchumi Supermarkets H/Qs) during normal working hours; or be deposited in the Tender Box on or before 28th May, 2010.
