- Reporting to Senior Manager, Office Automation and Enterprise Solutions
The major responsibilities of this position will be to:
- To determine end user requirements and provide IT leadership throughout the process of systems acquisition and implementation
- To provide support for the Credit Appraisal System and other departmental applications
- To research on improvements, implement and support the bank’s electronic messaging and collaboration systems
- To ensure the bank’s network is at all times protected by implementing and supporting endpoint protection such as antivirus, host‐based intrusion prevention, patch management solution, internet gateways and content filtering systems
- To enforce the bank’s ICT policies for good IT governance by ensuring that installations, systems configurations and user practices adhere to industry standards and best practices
- To ensure systems uptime, availability and security of key applications such as for credit appraisal, email and internet connectivity
- To enforce and manage disaster recovery strategies ‐ Plan and implement to ensure recoverability in case of systems failure
- To evaluate and implement new service delivery channels made possible through the use of emerging technologies such as internet/web and mobile telephony
- To give effective application and end user support to the KCB Group on various automation solutions
- To research and make positive advocacy on the adoption of new innovative technologies that support the bank’s strategy
For the above position, the successful applicants should have: ‐
- A Bachelors of Science in Computing or related degree from a recognised University
- Be a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (including but not limited to Windows Server, Exchange Server, Windows Infrastructure, ISA/Forefront TMG) or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) in Enterprise Messaging and/or Enterprise Administration.
- Possession of additional IT qualifications and Certified Information System Auditor or Certified Information Security Manager will be a definite advantage
- Working with Windows 200x/ Windows XP /Vista /Windows7 (both server‐side and client operating systems)
- Deep insight of LDAP, in particular Windows 2003/8 Active Directory implementation and administration, including but not limited to Group Policy Objects, Federation Services, etc
- Administration of a Windows 200x based network and network protocols. A good and practical understanding of TCP/IP and related services such as DNS, WINS and DHCP is required
- SQL Server 2005/8 Administration and performance tuning. Knowledge of SQL programming will be an added advantage
- E‐messaging and collaboration infrastructure using MS Exchange server 2003/ /2007/2010, Blackberry Enterprise Server administration and Related clients (MS Outlook, Outlook Web Access, Outlook Web Application, Push email (email to mobile)
- Internet connectivity, security, content provision and filtering using MS ISA 2006, MS Threat Management Gateway
- Good insight and experience in IT Security related issues such as user rights assignment and access control
- Demonstrated understanding of centralized administration and monitoring of antivirus, host‐based intrusion prevention, patch management and other endpoint security implementations
- Demonstrate understanding in contract negotiation, vendor SLA management
- Good knowledge of Office productivity software; MS Office Suite
- Good understanding of networking principles such as IP addressing and routing
- Good knowledge of the workings of the internet, firewalls and VPN technology
- Some working knowledge of PC hardware
- Knowledge of RedHat Linux and or Sun Solaris will be an added advantage
- Ability to work conscientiously and independently with minimal supervision. This calls for a person of high integrity and motivation, willing to work long and odd hours and willingness to travel out of station.

- Possess sound negotiation, excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Good Planning and analytical skills
- Be pleasant, outgoing, aggressive and self‐driven
