Principal Human Resource Development Officer

Basic Salary Scale: Ksh.40,835 – Ksh.49,636 p.m. (Job Group ‘N’)
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
1.     served for at least ten (10) years in the Human Resource Development field, three (3) of which should have been at the level of Senior Human Resource Development Officer, Job Group 1′ or above or in a comparable position in the Public Service;
2.     a Master’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university;
3.     demonstrated administrative ability required for developing, coordinating and implementing training programmes;
4.     proficiency in computer applications; and
5.     shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities

An officer at this level will be responsible to an Assistant Director of Human Resource Development.
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:
1.     coordinating training activities for a group of Ministries/Departments;
2.     representing the Ministry of State for Public Service in Ministerial Training Committee (MTC) meetings;
3.     giving technical advice to Ministries/Departments on Human Resource Development matters; and
4.     maintaining up-to-date records of training programmes undertaken by a group of Ministries/Departments.
