ICT Business Manager Job Vacancy in Kenya

Our client is an ICT Solutions provider with over 10 (ten) years experience serving Kenya’s leading corporate organizations. The client wants to employ a Business Manager. Our client has traditionally been known for IT Hardware Sales and Support, but they would like to offer additional solutions and services in the future.
These include:
  • Data Back Up and Security
  • Data Centre
  • ISP (Broadband)
  • Network Solutions
  • VOIP and IP Telephony Services
  • Conferencing Solutions
ICT Business Manager
Our client wants to consolidate the hardware business under the function of the Business Manager. The goal of the Business Manager is to ensure that business is maintained and grown from the IT Hardware operations. This line of business will be served in an online and versatile e-commerce site that reflects the clients POS and drives the Client Loyalty Program. Over time, this position will grow and act as the General Manager.

1. Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Drive and champion attainment of IT Hardware Sales targets.
  • Manage growth of stocks from Kshs 10M currently, to over Kshs 100M in less than a year.
  • Implement the organizations strategic vision to success.
  • Oversee the organizations expansion program to other towns and countries.
  • Motivate staff and ensure sales targets are met.
  • Oversee all logistical factors pertaining to the day to day running of the organization.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers and partners through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods.
  • Optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer and satisfaction with the aim of building and retaining the client base with due regard to Company targets and projections.
2. Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Relevant University Degree.
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar leadership position.
  • Background with ICT sector
  • Proven team building skills
  • Ability to deliver on aggressive targets and budgets.
  • Work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to other parts of the country.
3. Personal Abilities/Skills/Knowledge:
  • Ability to present concepts, sell ideas and drive results
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels
  • Superior planning, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiating abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful advice and input across the company.
  • Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Competent and confident public speaker that has the ability to adapt presentation style as and when required;
  • Ability to work within tight time frames, ensuring that the Executive Management team is kept informed and that deadlines are achieved.
4. Remuneration:
  • This is a performance based contract.
  • This position will attract top rate salary commensurate to the task. The remuneration is pegged to performance.
  • Retainer: Kshs 80,000 per month
  • Bonuses: Upwards of Kshs 200,000 per month depending on sales targets achieved.
