JOB DESCRIPTION
Some of the activities that the graphic designer will be expected to execute are as follows:
1.     Meeting clients to discuss their needs
2.     Interpreting the client's business needs into a requirements brief
3.     Developing design briefs by gathering information and data to clarify design issues
4.     Thinking creatively to produce new ideas
5.     Using innovation to redefine a design brief and meet the constraints of cost, time
6.     Multi-tasking: graphic designers often work on more than one design brief at a time
7.     Using a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design
8.     Producing accurate and high quality work
9.     Contributing ideas and design artwork to the overall brief
10.  Keeping abreast of industry developments particularly design programs
11.  Working well in a team, with printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, account executives, website designers and marketing specialists
12.  Working with tight deadlines
Nature of Work
Executes a variety of skilled graphic design and layout work in preparation of various posters, exhibits, advertisements, slides, brochures, books, newsletters and flyers using various production techniques which may include computer graphic systems and software

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1.     Knowledge and skill in design, layout and illustration.  
2.     Knowledge of typography and statistical data display and design.  
3.     Knowledge and skill in typing and basic personal computer operations.  
4.     Knowledge of photography and photo processing techniques.  
5.     Skill in coordinating the work of others.  
6.     Skill in both oral and written communications.

Minimum Qualifications
1.       Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or equivalent
2.       Experience in graphic design-you must produce a portfolio of designs completed
3.        Experience designing in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel draw.
