Feed the children-Kenya, an international non profit organization is seeking experienced pediatric therapists for its rehabilitation centre. The rehabilitation centre provides services to: The Abandoned Baby Centre, Dagoretti Children Centre, Dagoretti Special School and conducts CBR outreach programs in Nairobi and Maparasha, Kajiado District.
Physiotherapist
Key Responsibilities
  • To assist the rehabilitation coordinator and the rehab team in providing the best physiotherapy services to children with varied disabilities and musculoskeletal disorders.
  • Provide holistic physiotherapy services and training to children with focus on physical function and mobility.
  • Offer services in a child friendly way.
  • Experience in the application of Neurodevelopmental therapy is an advantage.
  • Prepare Periodical Progress reports on the children under your care.
Qualifications

  • Diploma in Physiotherapy from a recognized Medical Training College.
  • Four (4) years of practice in a hospital or a children’s rehabilitation centre.
  • Registered with the Kenya Society of Physiotherapists (KSP) and with a current practicing license.
  • Has a valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Good Experience and knowledge of Child Protection issues.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate.
Occupational Therapist
Key Responsibilities
  • To assist the rehabilitation Coordinator and rehab team provide best occupational therapy services to children with Physical and mental disabilities.
  • Assist Children in areas of self care (toileting, bathing, grooming, dining, writing etc).
  • Preparing Children for functional life skills, vocational skills and personal routines.
  • Carry out fine motor skills, seating assessment, child development therapies and home visits.
  • Offer services in a child friendly way.
  • Empower the child to achieve a better and independent life and future.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Occupational therapy from a recognised Medical Training College.
  • Four (4) years experience practice in a hospital or a children’s rehabilitation centre.
  • Registered with the Kenya Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA) and with a current practicing license.
  • Has a valid certificate of good conduct.
  • Good Experience and knowledge of Child Protection issues
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literate
