The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) Kenya Program, is seeking qualified candidates for the following positions:
1. Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Nairobi, with frequent travel to project sites
The M&E Officer is responsible for strengthening DRC Kenya capacity and profile in the area of Documentation, Monitoring and Evaluation by providing M&E technical support and training to staff.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Report writing to various donors in liaison with the Grants Manager and Country Director.
  • Focal point in proposal development, documentation, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Undertake field visits to project sites to ensure activities are in accordance to work plans.
  • Training of staff on M&E principles and practices.
  • Training of communities on community based monitoring and evaluation methodologies.
Requirements:

  • Must possess a Degree in Development Studies or other related field and strong background in statistics.
  • Minimum three years experience in senior programmatic position in monitoring and evaluation of humanitarian programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in participatory approaches and tools for program design, planning, monitoring and evaluation.
2. Logistics Officer
Nairobi, with frequent travel to project sites
The Logistics Officer will be responsible for all the procurement and logistics functions of DRC Kenya program, ensuring that all procurement procedures and documentation are according to Donor and DRC guidelines.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Carry out procurement in timely manner as per DRC and Donor guidelines.
  • Ensure warehouses & stores are managed according to DRC standards with appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain assets inventory for the Kenya program in accordance with DRC guidelines.
  • Vehicle/fleet management to ensure optimal use in all aspects.
  • Provide technical support and capacity building of logistics staff in the Kenya program.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Business Administration or Purchasing and Supplies.
  • Must have Diploma preferable from Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS,UK), with at least four years relevant experience in a similar position.
