Customer Service Manager: Altima Africa Job Adverts

Our client is a leading logistics company involved in proving transport and clearing services in the region. The company seeks to recruit a Customer Service Manager who will be responsible for the overall effective and efficient management of the Company’s service delivery to its clients. The position holder will be based in Mombasa.
The Position
Reporting to the General Manager, the key responsibilities are:
  • Leading and managing a team of Customer Service personnel, whilst proactively managing the service issues, ensuring optimum performance and efficiency.
  • Ensuring healthy and sustainable relationship with all key business stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Ensuring that the customer service teams are well resourced and balanced, and their activities are well prioritized through Planning, Financial forecasting, budgeting and Monitoring.
  • Monitor Performance according to International ISO Standards and the company objectives and take necessary action to communicate according to performance levels.
  • Ensure that the department defines and implements Customer Service Policies and procedures as formulated by the manager and recommended to and approved by the Board of Management.
  • Ensure that the General Manager receives timely and accurate reports on Customer Service activities with regard to monthly customer satisfaction levels, account relationship management and marketing relating to both the clients and shipping agencies / lines.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports for the customer service function.
The Ideal Candidate should have;

  • A University Degree in Business Management or its equivalent
  • 3-5 Years Experience in Customer Service, key account management or its equivalent
  • Strong Knowledge of Human Capital Management
  • Good Interpersonal, Communication and Co-ordination skills.
