Brand Manager Job Vacancy in Thika

The Brand Manager will be responsible in planning, developing, and directing the marketing efforts for all brands and products. To be responsible for coordinating activities of sales, advertising, promotion, research and development, marketing research, purchasing, distribution and package development.
The overall role of brand management is to create consumer demand and to formulate the brand’s long-term strategy and develop and execute marketing plans.  As well as define the brand’s pricing, packaging, trade merchandising, advertising and promotion strategies and allocate the budget accordingly.
To execute marketing initiatives in support of long term strategies through leadership of the business unit team. Being accountable for delivering the brand’s profit, volume and market share objectives.
25% – 50% – must be flexible to travel as and when needed
Key Responsibility
  • Sustaining and enhancing brand loyalty.
  • Conducting market research and SWOT analysis.
  • Working closely and independently with marketing and PR agencies for product development.
  • Being innovative and pro active in above and below-the-line marketing/ promotional activities for both consumer and trade markets.
  • Being responsible for point of sales/ point of purchasing coordination, procurement and management.

  • Ensuring management of merchandisers and liaising between the sales team and actively initiate, participate  and manage trade fairs
  • Providing market and sales analytical support
  • Liaising between external marketing support agencies for concepts, artwork etc.
  • Monitoring and analyzing sales volumes, market share trends and competitor activities.
  • Leading in developing and executing promotional initiatives to profitably increase consumption within budgeted parameters for both consumer and trade markets.
  • Leading in the identification and development of business building ideas and works with other business unit team members to execute the plans that meet set criteria.
  • Coordinating product management and/or cost reduction projects with internal and external resources to achieve results (product development, production planning, trade promotion, sales, market research, consultants and advertising agencies).
  • Analyzing consumption and comparing results to established objectives to assure the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Developing marketing plans/ proposals and managing a monthly marketing budget.
  • Bachelors in Business Field, Marketing
  • MBA preferred
  • Female/ Male, 28 – 35 years
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in large to medium sized FMCG company.
