Reproductive Health Technical Advisor Vacancy - Jhpiego

Jhpiego, an Affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is an international NGO supporting health programs to improve the lives of women and their families. Jhpiego-Kenya works in close collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and Ministry of Medical Services in the areas of HIV/AIDS, Malaria, TB, Maternal and Newborn Health, and Reproductive Health and Family Planning.
We are currently looking for an experienced individual with excellent technical skills who is team player, dedicated, hard working, highly motivated and able to work in a high pressure environment requiring multi-tasking.

Reproductive Health Technical Advisor

Reporting to the Deputy Country Director, the Technical Advisor- RH/FP will provide technical oversight and guidance in the area of RH/FP for all Jhpiego Kenya programs including RH/FP, maternal and child health and HIV
programs. S/he will be required to integrate RH/FP across Jhpiego- Kenya programs and work closely with the program teams to design and implement programs.
The Technical Advisor RH/FP will also liaise with Jhpiego Technical Advisors regionally and globally to ensure comprehensive RH/FP technical and programmatic support to all programs.

Required Qualifications

* Medical Degree
* Masters Degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology
* 3 – 5 years of experience in FP/RH programs
* Ability to work well with others and a team player
* Excellent analytical, communication and report writing skills
* Ability to support projects, set priorities, and plans for the successful implementation of programs
* Experience working with MOH systems and personnel and knowledge of MOH core function and systems
* Experience of working with donor funding agencies and private sector foundations
* Experience working in a high pressure environment with constantly changing priorities and deadlines
* Extensive knowledge of the FP/RH health programs in the region
* Extensive knowledge on key FP/RH and HIV technical areas
* Knowledge of HIV/AIDS, MCH and TB programs in Kenya
* Ability to travel.
