Pathfinder is seeking candidates for upcoming projects in Kenya. The projects will address integrated service delivery for HIV/AIDS, malaria, family planning, tuberculosis and MNCH. They will work with government and civil society and will link closely with existing programs to avoid duplication and leverage resources. These positions are subject to project award.

Provincial Director

The Provincial Director will lead the project in one province, ensuring efficient programmatic and financial management, and implementation of all components.

S/he will have authority for decisions relating to field offices and staff, and will serve as the primary Project liaison for GOK entities and stakeholders in the province. S/he will oversee provincial level planning and budgeting, and reporting/evaluations, ensuring compliance with management and financial procedures.

Requirements:


  • Graduate degree in a relevant discipline. Masters will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years program management/leadership experience (including planning/reporting), at least 5 years collaborating with international donor agencies (preferably USAID) and host country governments (including policy/stakeholder engagement).
  • Experience managing HIV/AIDS programs (knowledge of PEPFAR preferred), familiarity with RH/FP, TB, and MCH
  • Excellent verbal/written communication/ and cross-cultural leadership/team skills
Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Reporting to the Project Director, the M&E Specialist has primary responsibility for the design and implementation of M&E systems and activities to measure overall project performance.

S/he will assist partners in data collection, analysis, and presentation, including leading the design and operationalization of systems and tools. S/he will work closely with MOH counterparts and prepare regular reports for USAID.

S/he will also design and conduct operations research, and participate in project midterm and final evaluations, and oversee M&E staff.

Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in quantitative social science or relevant field with minimum 5 years experience and applied skills in M&E of development projects.
  • Knowledgeable of challenges faced in Kenya in the areas of HIV/AIDS, RH/FP, MCH, OVC is preferred.
  • Familiarity with M&E software is essential for this role.
Financial Management Specialist

Reporting to the Project Director, the Financial Management Specialist will ensure project financial planning and management, in compliance with USAID regulations and Pathfinder procedures/policy.

S/he will lead budget development and implementation, and oversee accounting, grants management, and financial reporting.

S/he will play a key role in developing and managing sub agreements, assuring consultancy contracts and payments, and submitting regular accounting summaries.

Requirements:
  • Advanced degree in accounting, finance, or business administration with applied skills in developing and managing large budgets.
  • Minimum 7 years experience in accounting or auditing, at least 4 of which should be on international donor reporting preferably USAID funding.
  • Excellent computer skills- spreadsheets and automated accounting
