Manager Information and Communication Technology (ICT) – Job Ref. MIT/04/01
The position will be based at the Head Office in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, and will play a key role in ensuring Andy Forwarders Services Limited’s objectives are met.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will steer the development, planning and
implementation of Information Technology (IT) policies and strategies to effectively and efficiently support business
operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Formulate IT policies and strategies for the organization;
• Plan, coordinate and ensure delivery of all IT solutions for the organization;
• Oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of security networks;
• Coordinate the design, development and implementation of disaster recovery procedures;
• Manage IT activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design;
• Manage computer networks, and implementation of Internet and intranet sites;
• Oversee hardware maintenance, trouble shooting and user support assistance;
• Manage the IT staff, departmental plans and budgets
• Prepare technical specifications for procurement of hardware/software and liaise with vendor to advise
and implement new software; and
• Research on IT development and advice management on current and future IT trends with recommendations to change where appropriate.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a relevant field;
• Relevant professional qualification and certifications such as MCSE – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
and CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Administrator;
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience with at least three years at a management level.
• Experience in working with the SAP ERP will be crucial in this role; and
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal, communication and analytical are essential.
• Relevant professional qualification and certifications such as MCSE – Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
and CCNA – Cisco Certified Network Administrator;
• Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience with at least three years at a management level.
