Kenya Pipeline Company Limited is looking for suitable candidates to fill the following positions.

1. Chief Quality Assurance Officer

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Chief Quality Assurance Officer will be the head of the Quality Assurance Section of the Company and will be responsible to the Operations Manager for all quality assurance functions and work within the policies of the Company.

Job Profile
  • Responsible for setting up and managing quality assurance systems for the organization on ISO 9001 and environment management systems (ISO 14001).
  • Review of systems procedures and policies.
  • Establish liaison with other relevant organizations and


    government agencies.
  • Set up and manage quality assurance systems based on ISO 9001.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Science degree in any Engineering field, Chemistry or any recognized qualifications from a recognized university.
  • Must be a member of a professional body in Quality Management Systems.
  • Must have eight (8) years relevant working experience, three (3) of which must be in quality assurance at a senior level.
  • Background in standards and experience in the oil industry will be an added advantage.
  • Must be lead auditors in QMS, EMS, OHSAS and have knowledge in the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS 18001.
  • Familiar with ISO/TS 29001 and should be customer focused, time conscious, team player.
  • Experienced in establishing and maintaining of QMS in public and private sector.
2. Chief Internal Auditor

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Chief Internal Auditor will be the head of the Internal Audit Section of the Company and will be responsible to the Internal Audit Manager for all internal auditing functions and work within the policies of the Company.

Job Profile
  • Review audit reports and to establish a follow-up system for ensuring that recommendations are implemented.
  • Develop auditing techniques and procedures, not only for financial and regulatory audit but also for operational and management audits.
  • Ensure maintenance of a high standard of audit.
  • Liaise closely with the Audit Manager on all audit matters.
  • Provide guidance to staff under him/her including their welfare and professional career development.
Person Profile
  • Degree in Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized university.
  • Degree in Engineering or MBA in Finance will be an added advantage.
  • CPA (K) holder or equivalent.
  • Must be registered with ICPA (K).
  • Over eight (8) years relevant working experience in a large organization.
  • Knowledge on computerized auditing.
  • Be of analytical and professional status.
  • Report writing skills.
3. Senior Engineer (Health, Safety and Environment)

Reporting to the Chief Engineer (Health, Safety and Environment) on Health, Safety and Environment matters.

Job Profile
  • Plan and execute Health, Safety and Environment audits.
  • Incidents investigation, competent in interpreting technical plans, specifications and drawings.
  • Write technical reports, design and review of workplace Safety systems, conducting HSE trainings, Health, Safety and Environment systems.
  • Effectively carry out workplace and environmental risk and control surveys.
  • Good understanding of both Local and International Health Safety and Environment Regulations applicable to petroleum industry.
  • Develop and execute environment assignments.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Science degree in any Engineering field from a recognized university.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Registered as a member with the relevant Safety, Health and Environment Institutions locally or internationally.
  • Registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya or any other technical professional body recognized by the institution.
  • Six (6) years of continuous service in Occupational Health Safety and Environment.
  • Good supervisory skills
4. Internal Auditor I

Reporting to the Senior Internal Auditor on the related auditing matters.

Job Profile
  • Execution of audit work plans.
  • Ensuring conformance with acceptable auditing standards, plans, budgets and schedules.
  • Establishing the adequacy, effectiveness and reliability of the company’s internal control procedures.
  • Ensure timely completion of routine processes under the guidance of a more senior officer.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Commerce, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • CPA (K) or equivalent.
  • CISA or related qualification.
  • Degree in Engineering is an added advantage.
  • Five (5) years relevant experience gained from an audit firm or large organization.
  • Knowledge on computerized auditing.
  • Analytical and report writing skills.

  • Review the Company’s financial and internal control procedures, their adequacy, effectiveness and reliability.
  • Ensure the Company’s financial, human, and material assets are properly safeguarded against theft, misuse or damage and are put into proper use for the furtherance of Company objectives.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Commerce degree or Business Administration or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized University.
  • Degree in Engineering is an added advantage.
  • CPA (K) or equivalent from a recognized Institutions.
  • Registered with ICPAK.
  • Six (6) years working experience in a large organization.
  • Knowledge on computerized auditing, good human relations skills, analytical and report writing skills.

8. Senior Information Technology Officer (Networks)

Reporting to the Chief Information Technology Officer on Information Communication Technology matters.

Job Profile
  • Lead technical specialist in managing the Company’s ICT landscape comprising servers, desktops and networks in line with business demands.
  • Procure of new hardware, rolling out new installations, creating and maintaining standardized OS disk images for new installations.
  • Ensure that licenses are available, maintaining standards for server and network installations.
  • Monitoring the availability and performance of the network, testing for security weaknesses and applying relevant fixes.
  • Provide tier-3 technical support and work with vendors to resolve complex network problems.
  • Manage a team of network analysts, system administrators, hardware engineers and technicians.
  • Experience in installing and configuring new servers, desktops, PCs and network devices, and peripheral equipment is required
Person Profile
  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • Six (6) years experience of which the last three (3) years must have been in managing a large network in a busy environment.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering large and complex ICT projects.
  • Solid understanding and vendor certification in a range of the Company’s supported network platforms is a must.
  • Provide technical training to end users and have good interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of designing and implementing VPN’s, network security and commercial network management systems is a definite advantage.
  • CCNA AND MCSE Certification is a mandatory requirement.
  • Good supervisory skills.
9. Engineer I (Health Safety and Environment)

Reporting to the Senior Engineer (Health, Safety and Environment) on Health, Safety and Environment matters.

Job Profile
  • Competent in interpreting workplace Safety and Environmental designs, writing technical reports, design and execution of workplace risk surveys and incidents investigation.
Person Profile
  • Bachelors Degree in any Engineering field from a recognised university.
  • Postgraduate qualification in either Safety & Health or Environmental management is an added advantage.
  • Registered as a member with the relevant Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Institutions locally or internationally.
  • Registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya or any other technical professional body recognized by the institution.
  • Five (5) years of continuous service in occupational Safety and Health field.
  • Good understanding of Local Safety, Health and Environmental Regulations applicable to petroleum industry.
  • Possess good supervisory skills.
10. Accountant I

Reporting to the Senior Accountant on the issues related to accounting matters.

Job Profile
  • Perform work of unlimited scope and complexity involving verification, collation and posting of accounting journals.
  • Ensure timely completion of routine processes under the guidance of a more senior officer.
  • Perform duties in any of the financial areas i.e. managerial, financial or product accounting such as treasury duties, revenue collection, disbursements, budget control, and preparation of special statements and reports.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Accounting or Finance) or its equivalent from a recognized university.
  • CPA (K) or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years working experience in a busy organization.
  • Demonstrated competence, merit and professional ability in work performance.
11. Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

Job Profile
  • Expected to assist senior staff in carrying out engineering tasks such as design, development, maintenance of the pipeline and undertake simple projects and complete them to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge.
  • Required to supervise technical staff and other junior officers.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Science or Technology Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
  • Registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya or the Institute of Engineers of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer or Member of a Professional Engineering body recognized by the Institution.
  • Possess good communication skills, team player and have good analytical skills.
  • Three (3) years working experience.
12. Assistant Engineer (Operations)

Job Profile
  • Expected to assist senior staff in carrying out engineering tasks such as design,development, maintenance of the pipeline and undertake simple projects and complete them to the satisfaction of the Engineer in charge.
  • Required to supervise technical staff and other junior officers.
Person Profile
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in the relevant Engineering field such as Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical etc. from a recognized university.
  • Registered by the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya or the Institute of Engineers of Kenya as a Graduate Engineer or Member of a Professional Engineering body recognized by the Institution.
  • Three (3) years working experience.
