Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited (KenGen) is the leading electric power producer in Kenya and is seeking to recruit professionals who are team players to fill the following Senior Management positions.
1. Chief Procurement Officer – Western Hydros (Ref: HRA/F&C/04/2010) One (1) Post
Reporting to Supplies Chain Manager, the ideal candidate will be in-charge of Western Region and he/she shall be based at Sondu Miriu Power Station located in Kisumu.
The area of responsibility covers the following Power Stations:- Sondu Miriu, Gogo, Sosiani and Turkwel.
The suitable candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration or Procurement & Logistics plus a Diploma in supplies management procurement from either KNEC/CIPS/National Universities or any other local or international recognized diploma, be a member of KISM/CIPS.
Masters degree in the relevant field will be an added advantage. He /she must be proficient in IT and any procurement systems. Ability to use SAP will also be an added advantage.
The candidate must have at least Seven (7) years experience in both local and international procurement and must have practiced for a minimum of two (2) years as a Senior Procurement Officer in a corporate organization.
2. Senior Procurement Officers (HRA/F&C/05/2010) Ten (10) Posts
Reporting to Chief Procurement Officers, the ideal candidate will be responsible for handling various local and internal procurement duties in head office or other regions.
The suitable candidate will possess a bachelors degree in Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, Purchasing and Supplies Management or related Degrees plus a Diploma from either KNEC/CIPS/National Universities or any other local or internal recognized diploma, with at least five (5) years experience in Supply Chain management in a busy environment in local & International procurement environment.
3. Procurement Officer (Tendering & Contracts Administration) (HRA/F&C/06/2001) – One (1) Post
Reporting to Chief Procurement Officer (Tendering & Contracts) the ideal candidate will be responsible for contract negotiation, formulation and contract administration.
The suitable candidate will possess Bachelor’s of Law degree with a bias in Commercial Law or Contract Law plus a Diploma from either KNEC/CIPS/National Universities or any other local or international recognized diploma with at least three (3) years experience from a Corporate Environment.
4. Stock Controller (HRS/F&C/07/2010) One (1) Post
Reporting to Chief Procurement Officer (Planning & monitoring), the ideal candidate will be responsible for the inventory management of twenty two (22) storage locations.
The suitable candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Economics, Purchasing and Supply Management or Engineering plus a Diploma from either KNEC/CIPS/National Universities or any other local or international recognized diploma with at least five (5) years experience in Supply Chain Management in a busy inventory management with multiple stock line items.
