2010/2011 Intake

‘Are you interested in making a career in farming and rural development; then you are invited to apply for Baraka Agricultural College programmes’.

1. Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development (CSARD)

The curriculum for the Certificate in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development Course is designed to develop sound judgments in the student and impart the knowledge and skills necessary for efficient, sustainable farming and effective rural leadership

Applicants must have attained a minimum of D+ in the KCSE OR its equivalents

2. Diploma in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development (DSARD)


The curriculum aims at improving the capacity of students to be effective practitioners and promoters of SARD. It is designed to empower and build the confidence and self reliance of the student.

Applicants must have a minimum of a Credit certificate preferably in agriculture, community development, or other appropriate discipline from recognized institutions

The two courses are delivered using the modular system. The 2010/2011 courses commences on August 30th 2010.
