Regional Sales Manager - Food & Beverage, Country Logistics and Planning Manager Jobs in Kenya

Our client is a subsidiary of a multinational corporation and a global leader in cleaning, sanitising, food safety and infection prevention products and services.

In an effort to grow operations in East Africa, the company is seeking to recruit flexible, dynamic and result-oriented managers to fill the following positions which are based in Nairobi:

Regional Sales Manager - Food & Beverage

This is a senior management position reporting to the Managing Director. The key role for the position will be to provide leadership to the country sales teams in the region and will be responsible for retaining, growing and managing clients in

the food and beverage sector across East Africa.

Key responsibilities
  • Offer strategic direction to the country sales teams;
  • Oversee territory planning and monitor markets;
  • Introduce new products, programs and service concepts to customers;
  • Manage existing relationships, develop new ones and implement a customer care management program;
  • Set sales targets and review sales progress
  • Prepare and present performance reports;
  • Provide guidance on technical chemical and application issues; and
  • Manage research and development and application support.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Business or a technical degree in any related field;
  • Post-graduate diploma preferably in Sales and Marketing will be an added advantage;
  • At least four (4) years sales management experience at a senior level preferably in Food & Beverage industry;
  • Proven skills in business development; and
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Country Logistics and Planning Manager

This is a management position reporting to the Operations Manager. The position holder will be responsible for supply chain planning, warehousing and distribution and for third party manufacturer contract management.

Key responsibilities
  • Work with divisions to determine sales forecasts and service levels;
  • Manage distribution activities;
  • Manage customer service function;
  • Lead the operations side of new product initiatives;
  • Ensure the availability and delivery of products at the agreed upon costs and service levels; and
  • Manage third party manufacturers to ensure quality products on-time availability as per sales requirements.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supplies Management, Chemistry or any relevant technical degree;
  • Those with chemistry background will have an added advantage;
  • Holders of a Higher National Diploma in Chemistry or Supply Chain Management and with exceptional experience in planning and logistics will also be considered;
  • Post-graduate diploma in Purchasing and Supplies will be an added advantage;
  • At least five (5) years relevant planning and logistics management experience;
  • Ability to manage change initiatives conflict; and
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and leadership skills.
