The Kenya Anti Corruption Commission (KACC) is established by an Act of Parliament, the Anti-Corruption and Economic Crimes Act (2003), to take necessary measures for the prevention of corruption in the public and private sectors; to investigate acts of corruption and economics crimes; to recover public funds/property acquired through corruption; and to enlist members of the public in fighting corruption through education.

The Commission invites applications from suitable persons to fill the following vacant positions within its establishment;
  1. Employment will be on contract terms, for a period of four (4) years. The contracts are renewable upon satisfactory performance.
  2. Competitive/attractive remuneration packages will be offered.
  3. Applicants must be of outstanding honesty and



    integrity, and should be willing to be subjected to a security vetting process
  4. Applicants must be computer-literate to be able to work in a highly computerized environment.

Directorate of Investigations and Asset Tracing 

Principal Officer: Intelligence Production

Reporting to the Director, through the Assistant Director - Investigations and Assets Tracing (IAT), the ideal candidate will provide leadership and liaison of the activities in the Department of Intelligence Production.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Gathering, collecting and analyzing intelligence on Corruption and Economic Crime.
  • Producing, classifying and disseminating intelligence products
  • Managing intelligence sources.
  • Formulating plans and procedures for covert operations on Corruption and Economic Crime.
  • Undertake Target profiling.
  • Applying scientific expertise in the collection and processing of evidence.
Qualifications
  • A degree in law, Social Sciences Management and Communication/ Journalism from a recognized institution or its equivalent. Postgraduate qualifications will be an added advantage.
  • At least twelve (12) years experience, four (4) of which must have been at a senior management level.
  • Hands-on experience in intelligence work.
  • In addition to the above, the person must have the following competencies;
  • Be mature and a team player with a proven track record of leading, managing and motivating other team members
  • Possess demonstrable analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Duties and responsibilities
  • Carrying out collection and collation of information related to corruption and economic crimes
  • Managing intelligence sources related to corruption and economic crimes
  • Producing intelligence briefs and reports
  • Liaising with other intelligence divisions/units in intelligence collection
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from a recognized university
  • At least 5 years experience in intelligence operations from an established organization
  • Training in intelligence tradecraft course
  • Training related to economic crimes is an added advantage
Forensic Investigator III - Civil/Structural Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Carrying out audit checks and verifications on buildings and civil engineering works
  • Advising other investigators on Civil/Structural Engineering issues on matters under investigations
  • Preparing reports and giving expert evidence in Court
  • Preparing project Audit reports and follow-up on implementation of the recommendations

Qualifications;
  • A degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University

  • Familiar with Contract documents including FIDIC Conditions of Contract, Civil Engineering Drawings, Bills of Quantities, Payment Certificates, and Contractor's Claims etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Handling litigation cases involving preservation of assets and forfeiture of unexplained assets
  • Instituting proceeding on behalf of the Commission or public bodies to recover benefits improperly obtained by agents and others
  • Investigations and tracing of assets improperly acquired with a view of recovery
  • Defending the Commission in cases filed against it
  • Offering opinion on legal matters involving the Commission as and when necessary.
Qualifications

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Undertake comprehensive perusal of investigation files and evaluation of the facts and evidence therein, to determine the sufficiency or otherwise of the evidence in support of criminal prosecutions.
  • Compilation of comprehensive investigation reports to the AC, detailing the results of the investigations and any recommendations for prosecution of persons for corruption or economic crimes
  • Preparation of quarterly reports to be laid by the Attorney General before the National Assembly.
  • Filing applications in support of criminal investigations and prosecutions.
  • Holding pre-trial conferences with the State Counsels prosecuting corruption cases arising out of investigations by the Commission
  • Watching brief in selected on going corruption cases in courts all over the country
  • Giving legal advice and or opinions on matters affecting the Commission
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in law from a recognized university
  • An Advocate of the High Court of Kenya

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Designing, developing and implementing research programmes in the field of anti-corruption, ethics and integrity
  • Collecting, analyzing and reporting of data on anti-corruption, ethics, and integrity
  • Examining and critiquing existing anti-corruption policies, law and institutions and making recommendations for appropriate interventions
  • Preparing policy proposals, papers and briefs on anti-corruption law, policy and institutions

  • Lobbying various sectors of the economy for the adoption of reform proposals

Qualifications
