Head Chef Job Vacancy at an International Hotel in Dar Es Salaam Tanzania

A TOP international hotel chain is looking for a head chef for its Dar Es Salaam branch.

This is a senior position and they are looking for a smart, hardworking individual.

The company is willing to hire and pay work permits for expat staff from any nation as long as they are qualified.

Job description:

• Determine how food should be presented, and
  
  
  create decorative food displays
• Prepare and cook foods of all types, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions
• Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
• Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards
• Instruct cooks and other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food
• Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.

Requirements: 

The successful candidate must;

• Posses a positive work attitude and be a team player
• Posses good communication and public relations skills
• Be fluent in English, Swahili would be a plus.
• Have at least one 1- 2 years experience in an head chef or assistant head chef in a busy kitchen

Salary: 

This is a senior position for a top multinational hotel chain and the successful candidate will remunerated as such. The salary will be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
