Value Stream Leader

The successful candidate’s principal purpose will be to lead Over the Counter (OTC) Medicines Value Stream, ensuring outstanding supply of finished pharmaceutical products within quality and regulatory standards.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Own the quality aspects of the production during compounding and



    packing and transfer to the Finished Goods Warehouse.
  • Own all aspects of Preventive maintenance of all production equipments.
  • Compute and input appropriate data into MFG PRO.
  • Ensure compliance to Quality Management Systems and Environment, Health and Safety standards.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of labour that delivers the OTC Value Stream objectives.
  • Lead and develop a team of Operational Excellence Advocates to achieve performance levels within their product streams.
  • Generate relevant daily/monthly Production, Quality and EHS reports
  • Ensure real time Batch Yield, Component issuance and Material reconciliation.

Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • 2 years experience in the Pharmaceutical industry with a proven track record in achieving results
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills
  • Impeccable integrity, passion for excellence, flexibility and commitment to work beyond normal office hours
  • Computer literate in operating systemse.g. JD Edwards & MFG PRO
  • Understands the chemistry and processes of pharmaceutical products i.e. compounding, blending, compression and all packaging processes
  • Understands requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Excellent Problem solving skills
  • Materials information : Exposure and interpretation with respect to toxicity details / symbols
  • International Standards : ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001
  • Good Financial Management i.e. Activity based budgeting and controlling budgetary allocations.

Security Supervisor

The successful candidate’s principal purpose will be to ensure that the company security policies and procedures are enforced through use of physical, electronic and other infrastructure on site.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership to guards on site to ensure compliance with security standards
  • Carry out risk assessments and update procedures.
  • Provision of personnel and physical security on site
  • Investigation of incidents and filing of preliminary reports to Security manager.
  • Training of contracted security staff to ensure that they maintain set security standards
  • Asset and information protection.
  • Educate staff within the site to develop an awareness that would assist secure the site proactively rather than reactively
  • Oversee Security operations through safe custody of keys, safes , to ensure that property is not lost or destroyed.
  • Proper maintenance of all security systems e.g. security alarms, fire alarms, boom barrier, electric fence, guard monitoring reports and CCTV surveillance .
  • Randomly tally, products /documents to ensure only authorised products leave or enter GSK site.

Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Diploma in Security Management or Crime and Forensic Investigation.
  • 3 years experience in commercial security.
  • Strong investigation skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Impeccable integrity
  • Critical reasoning and analytical skills
  • Professional knowledge of crime indicators such as social behaviour, turn out and attitude.
  • Knowledge of investigation principles including confidentiality and interrogation skills.
  • Knowledge of asset tracking processes as well as principles of information security.
  • Security risk assessment and business risk analysis from an accounting perspective through knowledge of fraud categories hence fraud control and prevention
