Consultants and Contractors Required for Tourism Trust Fund

The Tourism Trust Fund, (TTF) was established by the Government of Kenya through Legal Notice Number 47 of the Exchequer and Audit Act (Cap. 412).

Our objective is to alleviate poverty and assist sustainable community development and conservation of natural and cultural resources through direct assistance to the tourism industry.

To achieve this, we fund small to medium sized tourism enterprises and community based organizations, local authorities, tourism area plans and policies that work towards opening up new areas for tourism in Kenya, with the ultimate aim of diversifying Kenya's product.

TTF want to ensure Kenya's tourism growth continues to


be sustainable and have a positive impact on both the environment and local communities.

To help TTF increase its positive impact on tourism throughout the country, the organization is seeking the support of external consultants in several key areas.

The consultants will be required to sit on a panel and give their reviews and opinions on a regular basis.

The Panels

The panels, required in the following areas, will be initially constituted for a period for one year from the date of appointment, with the possibility for renewal or extension thereafter.

(a) Environmental Impact Assessment services;
(b) Project Monitoring and Evaluation;
(c) Quantity Surveying,
(d) Architectural services,
(e) Civil and Structural Engineering,
(f) Mechanical and Electrical Engineers
(g) Financial Planning Specialists
(h) Conservation /Tourism Area Planners
(i) Capacity Building

The pre-qualification documents detailing relevant terms and conditions may be obtained from the Accounts Office, Tourism Trust Fund, 6th Floor, Britak Centre during working hours upon payment of a non -refundable fee of KShs. 2,000 per set of pre-qualification documents.

Duly completed pre-qualification documents in plain sealed envelopes duly marked with the tender No. should be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the main reception, 6th Floor, Britak Centre and addressed to:-

Or to be deposited in the Tender Box, 6th Floor, Britak House so as to reach on or before Friday, 26th March 2010 at 10.00 a.m.

The Documents will be opened in the TTF Boardroom shortly thereafter. Tenders wishing to witness the opening may do so at the Boardroom at 10.30 a.m.

TTF reserves the right to reject any interest without giving reasons for the rejection.
