Butali Sugarcane Outgrowers Company Ltd. was established in 2007. The company is set in a rural peasant community.
The major objectives for setting up this Company were to promote and represent the interest of sugarcane farmers within Butali Sugar Zone, to provide finance credit or arrange finance for sugarcane farmers and to liaise these farmers with other stakeholders in the industry.
Therefore, in line with its mission and vision, Butali Sugarcane Outgrowers Seeks to recruit qualified , dynamic and result oriented individuals to fill the following positions: -
1. General Manager (GM)
Reporting to Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience: -
- A first degree of Agriculture, commerce or related field from any recognized university.
- At least 7yrs working experience, 5 of which should be in Sugar Industry or related and at least at a managerial level.
- Mature, energetic and ready to work with minimum or little supervision.
- Capacity to communicate effectively and mobilize the Rural Farmers.
- Must be 35 Years and above.
2. Management Accountant (Financial Accountant)
Reporting to the General Manager and the Board of Directors.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience: -
- CPA II qualifications.
- At least working experience of 5years in a commercial environment, 3 of which should be in the sugar Industry or related.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages and knowledge of accounting packages.
- Age 35 – 50 Years
3. Agricultural Field Superintendent
Reporting to General Manager.
The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications, skills and experience: -
- Diploma and above in Agriculture or Certificate, experience over 8years.
- At least 5years experience preferably in the sugar industry or related 3 yrs of which should be at supervision level.
- Age 30 – 50 years.
- Capacity to communicate effectively and mobilize the Rural Farmers
