Accounts Assistant - Institute of Economic Affairs Jobs in Kenya

The Institute of Economic Affairs is a local organization specializing in the promotion of public participation in public policy development through research and informed public debates.

It seeks to fill the position of an
 Accounts Assistant within the Finance and Administration function.

The main tasks of the Accounts Assistant will include:
  1. Receipting and banking of all cash collections
  2. Writing of cheques and payment vouchers
  3. Data input into the accounting software
  4. Monthly Bank reconciliations and


    creditor’s reconciliations
  5. Ensuring proper filling of accounting documents
  6. Maintenance of payroll and all statutory deductions
  7. Assisting with audit queries during audits
Qualifications
  1. First degree in a relevant field
  2. CPA II qualification
  3. Minimum 3 years experience in NGO Accounting
  4. Should be familiar with PayPlus Payroll package and Pastel systems of accounting
  5. Excellent computer skills
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills
An attractive remuneration package will be offered.

This position is offered on a one year contract with a possibility of renewal.
