Job Title: Area Sales Executive ( 2 Positions)

Key responsibilities of the post:
- Based in Pretoria/ Cape, Africa , reporting to Area Sales Manager : Southern Africa
- Responsible for establishment of GFS as a strong sales presence with dealers and fleet users
- Drive sales and new business development activity among the dealer network and fleet customers
- Ensure GFS is the primary choice for modified vehicles and the supply of accessories
- Represent the company in a professional and efficient manner
- Coordinate dealer and agent activity in addressing the retail and fleet markets
- Develop sales initiatives in line with the set budgets and targets
- Implement sales programs advised by Head Office through local management
- Identify and secure new business
- Introduce and develop relationships with Ford dealers addressing retail and fleet business, independent dealers and traders addressing the fleet sectors
- Introduce GFS to key market sector companies and develop relationships with procurement personnel
- Initiate marketing plans in conjunction with ford dealers to support company sales objectives
- Analyze sales statistics to help formulate sales policy and marketing plans with management
- Identify market potential and contribute to the development of products to meet the potential.
- Liaise with Head Office technical personnel to assist with sales/ technical visits to fleet users in sectors such as mining, police, utilities, communication network providers etc.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A strong career history of relevant experience couple with quantifiable success is required and is more important than formal qualifications. The key requirement is to have a wide base of strong business relationships in the target markets and posses a strong technical understanding
- Ideally a bachelor’s or higher degree in business studies, marketing or a related commercial field.
- Strong sales skills and powerful at closing deals
- Minimum of 3 years experience within automotive sales environments
- Minimum of 5 years experience in developing new business.
- A network of contacts with Ford dealer network would be an advantage
- Experience of Sales to the target markets; Forestry/Plantations, Telecommunications Eqt. Maintenance, Mining,
