Project Management Institute, PMI®, Certification Courses March 2010 Intake

PMI® is the largest professional Project Management certifying body in the world. The International dimension of PMI® credentials give the holder standard project management methodologies and practices that are accepted across the world.

Being the PMI® Global Registered Education Provider currently covering East and Central Africa, The CFPM School of Project Management is pleased to announce the March 2010 intake for these certifications. Registration is ongoing. Classes begin on 8th March 2010. We also offer these courses on long distance basis and provide tailor-made offerings to suit client needs.

Entry requirements are specified below:

Certification Title:
Project Management Professional (PMP®)

Who should apply:
Those who are responsible for all aspects of a project and those who lead and direct cross-functional teams to deliver projects within the constraints of time, budget and scope (a degree with 3 years of Project Management experience or a Diploma with 5 years experience)

Course Duration: 6 months starting 8th March 2010

Certification Title:
Programme Management Professional (PgMP®)

Who should apply:
Those who manage programs that contain complex activities that span functions, organizations, geographic regions and cultures. (Degree with 4 years of Programme Management experience or diploma with 7 years experience)

Course Duration:
6 months starting 8th March 2010

Certification Title: Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®)

Who should apply:
Project team members who provide subject matter expertise e.g.
marketing, finance, customer care, processing, fulfillment etc. (Degree or Diploma without Project Management experience)

Course Duration:
4 Months starting 8th March 2010

Certification Title: Risk Management Professional (PMIRMPSM)

Who should apply:
Project team members with specialized expertise in Project Risk Management. (Degree with 3 years of Risk Management experience or Diploma with 4 years experience)

Course Duration:
4 Months starting 8th March 2010

Certification Title: Project Scheduling Professional (PMIPSPSM)

Who should apply:
Project team members with specialized expertise in project scheduling (Degree with 3 years of Project Scheduling experience or Diploma with 4 years experience)

Course Duration:
4 Months starting 8th March 2010

Certification Title: Participatory Project Monitoring & Evaluation

Who should apply:
Those who work on the M&E function, consultants and educationists

Course Duration:
1 week (8th to 12th March 2010)
