Job Title: Project Development Officer
Employment Basis: Full time

Job Description:
The Project Development Officer is responsible for projects development, partnership building, and capacity strengthening of stakeholders, preparing project reports and updating the Managing Director on work plan progress.
Main duties:
Planning and Development;
· Contribute to long-term development of PRASOL’s Partnership Program
· Identify feasible community projects and prepare and present project proposals to potential donors
· Attend planning meetings as necessary
· Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date work plans and schedules and reports
Fundraising
· Contribute to the development of long-term funding strategies for PRASOL’s partners
· Implement funding strategies with particular focus on:
1. Project funding
2. Long-term fundraising for PRASOL’s Partnership program
· Draft funding applications, proposals, etc
· Develop and maintain good relations with donors, corporate and partners
Marketing and Publicity
· Take lead in developing marketing and publicizing strategies for PRASOL’s partnership program
Networking
· Identify and meet with potential groups/partner organizations
· Develop and maintain contacts with other appropriate groups and organizations
General
· Develop and maintain accurate, up-to-date work plans and schedules
Qualifications/Skills
· Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences/ Community Development/Project Management or related field.
· At-least 3 years experience in program development and management in an NGO
· Excellent planning, organizational and facilitation skills.
· Must be a self-motivated and reliable person who can work with minimal supervision.
· Computer, financial management, proposal and report writing skills
· High integrity, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· A good understanding of developmental and fundraising issues
· Good research skills
· Fluency in English, (verbal and written)
· Ability to work well in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams
