Insurance Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain the existing portfolio, foster partnerships and business relationships with clients and insurance companies
- Grow the agency’s business by handling new enquiries and processing competitive solutions
- Make appropriate insurance arrangements for the Sacco.
- Provide advice on insurance matters.
- Negotiate annually the respective insurance renewals.
- Manage the recording and processing of claims made for or against the Sacco either by third parties or by the company where damages have occurred to any of its insured properties or items.
- Assist with the continued embedding of Risk Management across all sections of the Sacco in order that potential losses are reduced.
Education
- Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII).
- 2 years experience in a similar or related field
- Insurance Sales & Marketing experience is Desirable
- Computer literate.

- Knowledge of risk management concepts to include insurance, claims and loss analysis/ control.
- Self-motivated and ability to achieve set goals.
- Ability to effectively communicate.
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Honesty and integrity.
