AMREF in Kenya seeks to recruit a Driver/Rider to be based in Nairobi to strength the human resource capacity in the Transport Unit.

Duty Station: Nairobi

Department/Unit: Administration / Transport Unit

Reports to Administration Manager

Specific Areas of Responsibility
• Driving vehicle/motorbike for all official duties while ensuring timeliness and safety
• Delivery and pick up of mail and official documents
• Postage and collection of mail to/from post office
• Handing of banking transactions and payment of bills
• Liaison with HR Department for visa application and work permits procedures for staff
• Ensuring the vehicle/motorbike assigned is well serviced and maintained as required
• Keeping up to date and accurate records in the vehicle/motorbike work tickets
• Reporting any accidents/incidents involving vehicle/motorbike in custody
Qualifications and Competencies

The ideal candidate should have ‘O’ level education, basic formal Mechanical and First Aid courses are necessary. Should possess a clean driving licence and a certificate of good conduct.

At least three (3) years driving/riding experience. Good knowledge of Nairobi City Centre and its environ.

Must have a good in communication skills both verbal and written in English and Kiswahili, good interpersonal skills, should be flexible and a team player.

The candidate should have high level of honesty, integrity, confidentiality and ability to work under minimal supervision
