_____________________________________________________________________________________ International Centre for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) - Kenya of Columbia University is working in partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and the Ministry of Medical Services to strengthen HIV Care and Treatment services at provincial and district health facilities.This program is part of a US Government initiative against HIV in Kenya that receives funding from PEPFAR through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Applications are invited for the following vacant positions.

PMTCT Advisor

The Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT) Advisor will oversee the planning and implementation of PMTCT activities within ICAP-supported facilities in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation.He/she will supervise Regional PMTCT Officers and will report to the Director of Programs.

Key Responsibilities

· Provide on-going technical support and supervision for the PMTCT Program
· Oversee the training of health care workers at ICAP-supported facilities on National PMTCT guidelines and protocols.
· Strengthen referrals and linkages between the MCH where PMTCT activities are provided and the HIV clinics at ICAP-supported facilities.
· Strengthen collaboration and linkages between PMTCT and HIV-Exposed Infants (HEI) activities at the MCH.
· Assist in the implementation of the monitoring and evaluation systems for PMTCT
· To participate in the PMTCT technical working group in the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation, National AIDS and STI Control Program (NASCOP)

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Nursing or an equivalent
· Training in PMTCT and EID
· Trainer of Trainers in PMTCT and Early Infant Diagnosis
· More than 5 years experience in the implementation of PMTCT activities
· Experience in training and mentorship of health care workers on PMTCT

Peadriatic Adherence and Psychosocial Support Officer

To provide technical support in the planning and implementation of adherence support activities required for HIV pediatric care and treatment services within ICAP-supported facilities in liaison with the Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation.

Key Responsibilities

· Oversee the initiation and implementation of adherence strengthening activities at ICAP-supported health facilities for children and infants
· Ensure training of Health Care Workers in adherence support for children and infants
· Provide leadership in the design and coordination of the training activities in adherence support for community health workers and caregivers of children living with HIV
· Oversee the implementation of site specific Standard Operating Procedures for defaulter tracing
· Facilitate the establishment of pediatric psychosocial support groups for PLWHIV
· Strengthen community mobilization activities and linkages with community-based organizations

Minimum Qualifications:

· Minimum Diploma in Counseling. Child counseling and play therapy will be an added advantage
· Experience in pediatric HIV counseling
· Previous community-level involvement with PLWHIV and peer educators’ programs

Subagreement Accountant

Location: Nyeri, with frequent travel to health facilities within the province

Key Responsibilities

· Administer pre-award assessments of Subagreement partners and guide on budget preparation.
· Provide overall guidance and supervision to the ICAP Kenya/GOK subagreement accountants in the implementation of the subagreement component of the ICAP program.
· Oversee the process of report review, feedback and guidance to partners on reporting, budget implementation, financial management systems and compliance with regulations.
· Generate monthly and quarterly financial monitoring and management reports.
· Lead the close out process for completed subagreements

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or relevant field.
· Professional Accounting qualification; CPA III/ ACCA III
· At least four years’ experience in donor accounting and reporting

Accounts Assistant

Key Responsibilities

· Maintain and control of petty cash
· Prepare payments for suppliers
· Ensure proper filing of all financial reports and support documentation and posting QuickBooks transactions
· Promptly submit all payroll statutory deductions other tax returns due to the relevant authorities

Requirements

· Minimum CPA II
· Proficiency in the use of accounting software
· At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position

Clerk of Works

Key Responsibilities

· Preparing Bill of Specifications.
· Supervision of contractors until completion of the works in all the regions
· Ensuring that all renovations meet contractual and legal and public health requirements.

Requirements:

· Must have a wide understanding of the building industry, including knowledge of materials, trades, methods and legal requirements
· Diploma in Building, Construction, Civil Engineering or Architecture
· Experience of at least 3-5yrs, plus knowledge of Autocad/Archicad and MS Office.
