Africa Now – Ethical Business Services (EBS) is currently looking for an experienced Business and Finance Manager based in Nairobi.
Reporting to the Regional Representative/Director, key responsibilities will include:
- Develop effective internal operational and financial controls for EBS for use by the head office in Nairobi, regional offices in North and Southern Africa, and associates across the continent.
- Establish a management accounts system to support the growth strategy.
- Control and maintain the Quality Assurance System within EBS and ensure its procedures are followed at all levels.
- Overall management of EBS finances and administration, responsible for contracts with clients and consultants, invoicing, payments to associates, financial reporting, cashflow and credit control.
- Developing financial controls and reporting systems for overseas offices such as Egypt and South Africa, and associate teams in places such as Madagascar.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory issues
- Supervise the Humans Resources function within EBS.
Qualifications
- First degree in commerce, accountancy or finance
- Qualification as a CPA(K) Certified Public Accountant
- MBA an additional advantage.
Experience
- At least seven years of full-time experience in finance, accounting or related field, including three years financial management experience
- Experience of supervising Quality management Systems in an international environment
- Strong experience in Business or Organisation management
- Experience in strategic planning, budgeting control, financial analysis and risk management
- Experience of hands on use of various accounting computer packages
- Experience of long distance supervision of finances and multi currency accounts
- Strong experience of financial reporting, including the ability to prepare financial statements such as cashflow forecasts and profit and loss statements.
