Assistant Financial Controller Job in Kenya

_____________________________________________________________________________________ A leading five star hotel in the Hospitality Industry is looking for a candidate who shall offer support to the Financial Controller on all operational and strategic arms of Finance, Audit and Credit Control functions.The candidate will be located in our Nairobi office.

Assistant Financial Controller

Duties & Responsibilities.

· Management of payables and cost efficiencies for vendors providing services to the company.
· Management of receivables and credit facilities for revenues generated from the customers of the company
· Overseeing of banking and cash transactions including daily/online reconciliations, liaising with banks for processing of payments, crediting of receipts, etc.
· In consultation with the Financial Controller, dealing with company inventories in custody of 3rd parties including title transfer and reconciliations.
· Ensuring that the Finance team do comply with corporate reporting and local statutory / fiscal requirements.
· Ensure that the management get timely audit reports to be able to make timely corrective decisions.
· Attend scheduled meeting and training geared to enhancing efficiency at work and realization of set objectives.
· Ensure a high level of working relations and contact with customers is upheld.

Qualifications and Experience

· Bachelor of Commerce degree (accounting option) and CPA (K) qualifications.
· Able to perform general ledger transactions using SUN Accounting systems.
· Must have a minimum of 7 years work experience in a Commercial environment, preferably a Five Star Hotel.
· Must be conversant with revenue cycles and have a hands own experience with micros Fidelio.
· Familiar with SOX Guidelines.
