Sales Representative Job in Kenya

Job Description

This is the entry level for this cadre and an officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer.

The duties and responsibilities entails:

  • Training farmers on existing and new products/services;
  • Monitoring sales targets by the Centre’s distribution agents and Counties;
  • Relationship management of sales agents and counties for optimal sales;
  • Negotiating and closing sales;
  • Helping determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations;
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reports;
  • Monitoring competition and follow current market developments;
  • Visiting distribution agents and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Diploma in any of the following disciplines: -Sales and Marketing; Business Management; Business Administration; Agribusiness; Agricultural Economics & Extension; Agricultural Extension Education; Animal Health & Production; or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
  • Proficiency in computer application; and
  • Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
