Public Relations Officer Job in Kenya


Job Summary

The Public Relations Officer will be responsible for managing the public image and communications of the organization. He /She will be in charge of developing media strategies, creating and disseminating press releases, managing media inquiries, and organizing events to promote the organization.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Lead the creative team in developing concepts, strategies, and visual solutions that align with Develop a marketing communications plan including strategy, goals, budget and tactics
  • Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with media professionals, influencers, and key stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging issues that may impact our company’s reputation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and senior management, to ensure consistency in branding.
  • Organize and coordinate press conferences, interviews, and other media events for the company

Qualifications And Experience     

  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, Marketing or any related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a reputable firm
  • Proven experience in public relations, media relations, or communications.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and digital communication tools.
  • Excellent media relations skills and a track record of securing positive press coverage.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop creative PR campaigns that drive results.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and their role in PR and brand building.
