Key Responsibilities

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the delivery of high – quality healthcare services through virtual platforms while maintaining compliance with clinical standards and regulations. Major responsibilities will be: –

Conduct virtual consultations with patients, including history taking, physical examinations (as feasible), and diagnostic evaluations.

Provide appropriate medical advice, diagnosis, and treatment plans based on patient consultations.

Prescribe medications and recommend treatments as needed, ensuring prescriptions comply with legal and ethical guidelines.

Manage and follow up on patient medication plans and adjustments.

Educate patients on health conditions, treatment options, preventive measures, and healthy lifestyle choices.

Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.

Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and specialists to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Facilitate referrals to other healthcare providers and facilities when necessary.

Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMRs) of patient interactions, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-ups.

Ensure all patient information is kept confidential and secure in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.

Participate in quality assurance activities, including case reviews and audits, to ensure high standards of care.

Engage in continuous professional development and training to stay updated with the latest medical advancements and telemedicine practices.

Provide guidance and support to patients on using the telemedicine platform effectively.

Troubleshoot basic technical issues during consultations and coordinate with the technical team for resolution.

Qualifications


Diploma/ degree in Clinical Medicine

Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience. Previous telemedicine experience is an advantage.

Valid practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council.

Proficiency in using telehealth technology and electronic medical records (EMRs)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
