Required Qualifications and Experience:
Education
Master’s degree in Political or Social Sciences,
Business Administration, International Relations, Law or a related field from
an accredited academic institution with seven years of relevant professional
experience; or,
University degree in the above fields with nine years
of relevant professional experience.
Experience
Experience in Project Cycle Management (PCM) and
Results Based Management (RBM);
Experience in the field of migration issues,
including operational and field experience, IOM project development, management
and reporting;
Experience in liaising with governmental authorities,
donors, academia, other national/international institutions and NGOs;
Experience of regional issues in the Asia Pacific a
distinct advantage; and,
Lived experience as a migrant or migration-affected
personnel, especially from countries that have large IOM operational footprint.
Skills
Excellent team building skills with a track record in
team coordination and building trust;
Knowledge on proposal writing;
Knowledge on IOM project management;
Knowledge on different donor agreement; and,
Knowledge on project cycle.
Languages
IOM’s official languages are English, French, and
Spanish. All staff members are required to be fluent in one of the three
languages.
For this position, fluency in English is required
(oral and written). Working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an
advantage.
Proficiency of language(s) required will be
specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written
and/or oral assessments.
