LEGAL OFFICER, PROJECTS -KET 6 (1 NO.) REF: KETRACO/5/1C/40 /216/VOL I – B

Reporting to Project Legal Officer

The Legal Officer will serve Narok-Bomet Transmission Line.

This will be a one (1) year contract renewable subject to completion of the project. Please note that this is specific to the project and shall end upon completion of the project.

Key Responsibilities

 Assisting in collation of requisite documents for successions.

 Foreseeing execution of easement agreements by Project Affected Persons (PAPs).

Qualifications and Competencies


 Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution;

 Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, member of Law Society of Kenya (LSK); and have a valid practicing certificate;

 Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the Council of Legal Education;

 Must have handled wayleave acquisition;

 Must have handled registration of easements;

 Must have at least three (3) years experience in wayleave acquisition process.

Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);

Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and

Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
