Digital Fundraising Officer Job in Kenya

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Execute digital fundraising campaigns, executing marketing plans to create compelling campaign storytelling and engage donors in meaningful ways they can financially support Lewa’s campaigns.
  • Develop content for and delivery of email campaigns.
  • Develop landing pages and email journeys, to engage existing supporters and attract new supporters, with a particular focus on acquisition of new regular givers.
  • Manage all digital fundraising advertising (paid and organic social media, Google Ads and other Display as required).
  • Be the content lead for fundraising pages on the Lewa website, responsible for creating and/or editing and updating content (maintaining and optimizing) and working with Communications team members to develop new website functions.
  • Lead on data, analytics and reporting to demonstrate results for digital fundraising products and communications to identify areas for improvements and optimization.
  • Be the primary point of contact between the Fundraising and Communications teams.
  • Support the Individual Giving Manager with all areas of the digital strategy, including planning and implementation.
  • Monitor and report on digital fundraising campaigns, and all digital fundraising activity.
  • Monitor digital fundraising trends, emerging audiences, and competitor activity and;
  • Any other duties as may be assigned to you from time to time.

Job Specifications

The job holder must possess:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Commerce, Development Communications, or related field.
  •  Track record of working on successful digital marketing, campaigns, and communications ideally in a charity setting.
  •  Knowledge of digital marketing best practice, Data analytics, current trends, and innovations in fundraising.
  •  5 years’ proven experience of delivering successful multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  •  Knowledge and experience using email systems, journey builders and integration with CRMs.
  •  Excellent written and spoken English and Swahili.
  •  Ability to work under pressure and with multiple competing priorities.
  •  Strong attention to detail.
  •  Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  •  Experience in Salesforce highly desirable.
  •  Ability to travel periodically to the United States, Canada and Europe.
