Role Objective:
As a Communications and PR Consultant, you will be
responsible for conceptualizing, creating and executing effective communication
plans, programs and strategies to enhance brand reputation, and targeted public
relations efforts therefore overall business growth.
Our client is based in Nairobi and looks to engage a
flexible yet skilled individual for this role.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Create engaging content for various channels,
including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media posts, and website
content.
Manage and maintain positive relationships with media contacts, key stakeholders to and maximize brand exposure.
Develop and manage internal communication strategies
to ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all departments.
Plan and coordinate media events, press conferences,
and product launches successfully.
Monitor media coverage and social media conversations
to for relevant and appropriate action.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide
communication support for various initiatives, such as product launches,
corporate announcements, and crisis management.
Prepare content for internal and external business
purposes
Develop and implement strategies for brand marketing
Update our approach to social media and other online
platforms
Work with our sales and marketing team to develop
creative strategies or solutions
Develop and execute a strategic communication plan to
enhance the company’s brand image and reputation.
Manage the company’s social media presence, including
content creation, community management, and monitoring of social media
channels.
Measure and analyze the effectiveness of
communication campaigns and initiatives using various analytics tools and
provide actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and
emerging communication technologies to ensure the company remains competitive
in the market.
Any other duties as assigned pertaining the role.

Job Specifications and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public
Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
At least 5 years work experience
Proven work experience in Media or PR Consultant in
relevant industry.
Strong portfolio showcasing excellent written and
verbal communication skills, including press releases, articles, and social
media content.
Proficiency in Ms Suite and other relevant tools.
Professional certifications are an added advantage.
