Main Duties

Recruitment (30%)

  • Manage the HR recruitment system- Sage by uploading job adverts, sourcing, screening, and interviewing processes for an organization.
  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques.
  • Facilitate pre-boarding and onboarding of employees, that is, staying in touch with them, answering their questions, sending them relevant material, and so on.

Employee Relations (30%)

  • Ensure that employees’ complaints, grievances, and disciplinary cases are handled promptly while following the standard process.
  • Establish mechanisms of documenting and tracking all disciplinary issues.
  • Investigating complex employee relations issues in an effective manner.
  • Provide advice on revision of HR programs and policies to generate more positive outcomes.
  • Work closely with the relevant stakeholders to conduct investigations of complaints and implement corrective actions as necessary.

Contract Management (20%)

  • Issue contracts to employees and track expiry dates, to ensure timely renewals.
  • Supervise the confirmation process to ensure timely feedback is provided to employees.
  • Ensure that renewals and non-renewals are notified as per contractual guidelines.

Administrative (10%)

  • Timely update of changes on work tools and systems such as ERP.
  • Facilitate employee movements, including transfers, redeployment, and promotions.
  • Employee Offboarding; Deactivation from company systems and schemes.

Collaborative Tasks (10%)

  • Ensure performance improvement plans are executed promptly, and feedback is provided to employees.
  • Provide support for the appraisal process.
  • Closely work with the departmental heads to identify and plan for training programs.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Academic Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in any social science with two years of experience OR
  • A diploma in Human Resource Management coupled with four years of experience.
  • Membership with a relevant professional body is required.
