Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of the tax returns
and the accurate, timely filing and payment of all taxes for KCB Group
Kenyan entities.
- Implementation of tax governance and
compliance processes for all direct, indirect taxes and agency taxes (with
exception of CIT) for all the KCB Group Kenyan entities.
- Provide support to all the KCB Group
subsidiaries around the preparation of standardized system-based reports
for review and analysis of all direct, indirect and agency taxes.
- Responsible for substantiation of all
General Ledger tax accounts for KCB Group Kenyan subsidiaries.
- Maintain appropriate systems and
processes for tax risk identification and management for KCB Group Kenyan
subsidiaries.
- Provide internal and external tax
advisory and support on tax matters to the various teams across the group,
including procurement, accounts payables, payroll, branches and other user
departments.
- Support the internal and external tax
audits, special tax related projects and resolve iTax issues that the
Kenyan businesses encounter.
- Maintain and update KCB Group Tax
Database with copies of tax returns, payments filed with revenue
authorities and all related correspondences monthly.
Minimum Position Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any business
related field from a recognized institution.
- Is a Certified Public Accountant
- Should have at least 3 years experience
in finance, specifically in tax management and in the following areas:
- Financial Analysis & performance
management
- Tax Compliance
- Stakeholder Management
