Job Description
We
are looking to grow our team and engage a highly motivated and passionate Guest
Service Agent (Chinese Speaking) who will work closely with the team to drive
and deliver on the Fairmont promise, turning moments into memories.
We are seeking a skilled Guest Service Agent (Chinese
Speaking) with proficiency in Chinese to support our team in various
administrative tasks and provide translation services as needed. The ideal
candidate should be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong
communication skills in both English and Chinese.
Responsibilities:
MUST
BE ABLE TO TRANSLATE CHINESE LANGUANGE
- Translate documents, emails, and
other communication from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Provide real-time interpretation
during Check In Check out and guest activities and other interactions.
- Ensure accuracy and cultural
sensitivity in all translations.
- Act as a liaison between
English-speaking and Chinese-speaking guests at the hotel.
- Facilitate effective
communication between parties who speak different languages.
- Provide language-related support
to enhance cross-cultural collaboration.
- Demonstrate fluency in both
written and spoken English and Chinese.
- Possess a strong understanding of
cultural nuances to ensure accurate and contextually appropriate
translations.
- Prioritize and manage multiple
tasks efficiently to meet needs of different Chinese clients.
- Assist in the coordination of
travel arrangements and itineraries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality
or Communications with level 4 or level 5 Chinese language
certification.
- Previous experience in
translation and interpretation in a busy environment is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in both English and
Chinese (spoken and written)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and
multitasking abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
