Responsibilities
Develop
software solutions for new financial services in alignment with approved design
specifications and industry best practices.
Contribute
to the design phase of new solutions, ensuring robustness and scalability.
Conduct
comprehensive software testing to meet functional and non-functional
requirements, including performance testing and monitoring.
Document
and maintain software functionality and releases meticulously.
Engage in
troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of existing systems, ensuring
optimal performance and reliability.
Recommend
and implement improvements to existing systems to enhance efficiency and
functionality.
Uphold
internal process improvements in accordance with software development
standards.
Actively
participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best
practices.
Manage
release and change management processes effectively.
Contribute
to innovation initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement.
Implement
measures to elevate delivery quality and minimize major defects in production
environments.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s
degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or IT
(with specialization in operating systems, databases, and system development).
Minimum
of 2 years of work experience as an engineer in Financial Technology or
telecommunications environments (vendor or operator).
Proficiency
in software development using Java and Python.
Familiarity
with coding languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, and frameworks/systems
including Spring Boot, AngularJS, Git, and Apache Camel.
Knowledge
of Agile methodology, with certification in Scrum fundamentals being
advantageous.
Understanding
of DevOps practices and methodologies.
Experience
with mobile money systems is highly desirable.
Familiarity
with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Huawei, or GCP;
certifications are a plus.
Knowledge
of container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes.
Strong
analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability
to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and operate without supervision.
Excellent
presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proactive,
self-motivated, and capable of building positive relationships with
stakeholders.
