Your role and responsibilities:


As an Accountant, your daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Review accounting records & monthly reconciliations.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions in the Company are recorded in compliance with IFRS/Tax and other related statutory requirements.
  • Analysis and carrying out journal entries.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly and year end close and meet financial reporting deadlines.
  • Monthly statutory, bi-annual and annual tax calculations and returns (e.g., VAT, Employment taxes, Withholding Tax ,Customs etc) and filing thereof.
  • Financial audit preparation and support during the audit process.
  • Ensure statutory compliance, includes annual returns submission, drafting board resolutions, updating directorship details etc.
  • Implementation and maintenance of internal controls.
  • Facilitate asset and stock verifications
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial and company legislation and regulations
  • Supporting the Financial controller and finance team as required.

Requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics
  • 3-5 Years in a similar position with relevant skills
