Role Purpose
Responsible for assessing and managing risks associated with
corporate insurance policies. This role involves evaluating complex
underwriting data, making strategic decisions, and ensuring compliance with
underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Main Responsibilities
Strategic
Underwriting
strategy: Contribute to the development and implementation of underwriting
strategies, aligning them with the company’s overall business goals.
Risk
management: Identify and assess emerging risk in the insurance sector and
propose strategies to effectively mitigate the risks.
Operational
Risk
assessment: Analyze and evaluate complex underwriting data, including financial
statements, loss histories, and industry trends, to assess risk associated with
insurance policies.
Policy
underwriting: Determine appropriate coverage, terms, and pricing for insurance
policies, considering risk exposure and profitability.
Corporate Governance
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines, company policies and regulatory
requirements, maintaining high standards of ethical and legal conduct.
Risk
controls: Establish and maintain risk control measures to monitor and manage
risks associated with insurance policies effectively.
Leadership & Culture
Team
support: Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise to junior
underwriters, fostering a collaborative and supporting work environment.
Stakeholder
engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with brokers, clients,
